For two years while working I had been sitting on a budget office chair, I was getting pains across my back, and in the obvious area too, and cushions didn’t make any difference. I later met Paul and after he listened to my circumstances he spent time explaining the different chairs that would be appropriate for me. After I decided on one he assured me it would be in stock the following week. As promised he called me, to tell me that it was in stock and that he had assembled, it delivery he explained was “ part of the service” as was carrying it up the stairs for me! He also took time to adjust it so it fitted me. I have used the chair for a couple of weeks now and the difference is astonishing. No aches, no pains and I feel so much better in the evening. Excellent service from Paul - very knowledgeable, professional and all round good to deal with! I was eligible for funding for a chair through Access to Work. Because of my disability regular office chairs never 'fit' me so Paul measured me up for a made to measure Ergochair - I'm 55 and this is the first time I've got a chair that fits! He also recommended a laptop stand, keyboard and wireless mouse (which with limited wrist flexibility is SO comfy!). The chair came through within a couple of weeks and Paul came and set it all up for me at my desk. I'm hoping this will all mean I'm sitting much better when working now. I don't think I would have got this level of service from any of the big players so if you are looking for a personal service this is a great choice.

I first met Paul through networking and later caught up with him at BizFest SW, where I had the chance to try out one of their ergonomic office chairs and a saddle stool. After a previous bad experience buying a chair online, I was determined to try before buying this time. Getting to the showroom was tricky for me, so Paul very kindly offered to bring a chair and a stool to my home so I could try them out for a couple of days, completely free of charge! He arrived on Wednesday and by Friday I knew I didn’t want to give the chair back. We struck a deal and I bought the display model there and then. Paul was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made sure the chair was properly set up for me and took the time to explain its ergonomic benefits. I’d highly recommend a visit to Backworld in Exeter. Paul helped me to find a really excellent office chair that was extremely comfortable and supportive and within budget. He provides good advice on the most suitable product and I felt no pressure to buy. As it turned out he found me the perfect chair that I was able to take away and he even provided me with a video reminder of the various controls! Absolutely no hesitation in recommeding.
