Butterfly chair with neckrest
We have been informed by our suppliers that the neckrests are currently out of stock, with new product due in January 2025. The neckrest can be retrofitted to the chair, so we will be sending out chairs without neckrests, and we’ll send the neckrests as soon as received.

Vela Tango 700e Electric Lift
Vela are a Danish company. Their Tango range of chairs help maintain safe mobility and independence in the home. This electric version is particularly versatile. At the touch of a button the chair will rise to aid standing and sitting, or allow safe access to high shelves, or a perching stool for use in the kitchen.
The Vela Tango 700e is an extremely versatile chair that is suitable for anyone with mobility issues from teenager to senior adult. The large easy rolling wheels are set wide apart to allow the user to ‘scoot’ the chair with their feet, and the easy to use 2 wheel handbrake ensure stability for transfer or perching.
A Tango can benefit many clients. Many are simply ageing gracefully, and need extra support with standing and moving. Some clients have more chronic health conditions which need greater support.

BMA is a Dutch company – BioMechanisch Adviesbureau (biomechanical consultancy) established in 1988, who in 1996, used their extensive knowledge and research to produce produce the Axia range of chairs.

Most of us can stand and walk all day without back pain, and without a back rest. When we sit, our pelvis reclines, and our weight is now behind our pelvis, not on top of it where it was designed to be. This position stresses the lumbar region, so we need to recline into a backrest to help with this stress.

Kneeling chair Memory Foam
Sitting in a traditional chair is a compromise position. We don’t need a backrest when we are standing. When we sit, our pelvis reclines and our weight is now behind our pelvis, rather than neatly stacked on top of it. This causes stress in the lumbar region, and to cope with this, we need to lean into a back rest.
Kneeling chairs take chair design back to the start. Rather than using a backrest to support a compromised position, why not design a chair that supports the posture the spine was designed to be in?
By tilting the seat forward, the kneeling chair does just that. You can see that the neck, pelvis and feet are in alignment. The superior upright posture of the kneeling chair therefore does not require a backrest.
Our kneeling chairs are adjustable, so they will suit most people working at a standard height desk (approximately 72cm). They are lightweight and compact, making them particularly suitable for home use.
Because we are now using our core muscles, rather than a backrest to support the position, it will take most people a couple of weeks to adapt to a kneeling chair.
