Static sitting is often the cause of many complaints that plague office workers. Active sitting with CoreChair allows free movement with support. The body maintains an upright position and constant micro-movements “train” the musculoskeletal system without conscious effort while sitting. This effect has health benefits, as active sitting improves blood circulation and hydration of the intervertebral discs, mobilises the joints and strengthens the stabilising core muscles. The CoreChair Elite provides support for the back, by means of a pelvic support and movable back pad, which are connected by a vertical bar. Mobility of the seat and pelvic support with the height-adjustable back pad is harmonised so that the spine rotates and stretches freely whilst the pelvis always remains stable. The two wide sections of the pelvic support gently support the elbows when leaning back, but don’t get in the way when sitting upright
Traditional chairs transfer all the weight of the sitter to the pelvis. This encourages a slumped posture. A good backrest will help to prevent damage and alleviate some of the symptoms of a slumped posture. The Corechairs uniquely shaped seat, made from entirely recycled materials allows the user to sit on their sit bones. This is a more balanced position for the pelvis, prevents slumping and engages the bodies core muscles to maintain a healthy spine.
Two sizes are available. The small chair is for people from 5′ to 5’7″. Large chair for 5’6″ to 6’5″.

Kneeling chair Memory Foam
Sitting in a traditional chair is a compromise position. We don’t need a backrest when we are standing. When we sit, our pelvis reclines and our weight is now behind our pelvis, rather than neatly stacked on top of it. This causes stress in the lumbar region, and to cope with this, we need to lean into a back rest.
Kneeling chairs take chair design back to the start. Rather than using a backrest to support a compromised position, why not design a chair that supports the posture the spine was designed to be in?
By tilting the seat forward, the kneeling chair does just that. You can see that the neck, pelvis and feet are in alignment. The superior upright posture of the kneeling chair therefore does not require a backrest.
Our kneeling chairs are adjustable, so they will suit most people working at a standard height desk (approximately 72cm). They are lightweight and compact, making them particularly suitable for home use.
Because we are now using our core muscles, rather than a backrest to support the position, it will take most people a couple of weeks to adapt to a kneeling chair. Some people love them so much that they use them for the whole day. Others like to swap between a more traditional chair, or standing for part of the day.

The new Hoganas 2-series chairs have been designed to offer superior ergonomics and large range of adjustments and positions so everyone can sit comfortably all day.
Despite class leading ergonomics, these full featured chairs are offered at a price not often seen in premium seating, yet still come with a 10 year manufacturers warranty.
